Scott Dorsten began his career with the Beavercreek Township Fire Department in December of 1986 as a volunteer. In May of 1990 he was hired as a career firefighter, and in May of 2001 Scott was promoted to Lieutenant. Over the years he has achieved certifications as a Fire and Emergency Medical Services instructor, which has helped him train and develop the skills and strengths of our personnel. Scott has managed several programs and has been involved in almost every aspect of the organization throughout his career.
He has overseen the operations of the Fire Prevention Bureau, functioned as the training and safety officer, and been the liaison to the Beavercreek Police Department for dispatching, and communications. In 2007, Scott achieved the status of Certified Public Manager by completing an intensive course of executive leadership training through the State of Ohio.
Currently Scott is attending the Ohio Fire Executive program through the Ohio Fire Chief’s Association. This is a rigorous leadership program that focuses on the fire service. He demonstrates the abilities, vision, and dedication necessary to ensure that the Beavercreek Township Fire Department is prepared to meet the current and future needs of the community.
